FUN?

Is it fun? Yes! Is it as fun the first one was? Personally, I don’t think so.
-
Portal, the first one, is a puzzle game with a completely optional story. You could play through the entire game without paying the slightest of heed to whatever GladOS was spouting.
-
Portal 2 on the other hand is a narrative driven game with puzzle sections. It’s also pretty obvious the puzzle and story progression sections are separate things. Something which I feel breaks my immersion a little too often.
-
From a technical point of view, Portal 2 (even in its Beta state) works better in Linux than Portal 1. Which, effectively, makes Portal 2 more fun to play than the first. Unfortunately, it’s not enough to get the much coveted fourth chair.
