Steam News:

Gabe Newell Teases Steam Box Announcement For Next Week

  • Gaben sayeth unto thy dirty console-gaming peasants: Linux is the future. New hardware is coming. And in true Gaben fashion, there is no third thing

  • Seriously, Gabe needs to put up or STFU this time. No more “in the future” BS.

  • Even the countdown L4D3 page is now turned into another russian blog.

New Steam Guard feature to help protect your items

  • My…hats…

25 new green

  • Warsow?

  • Warsow.

Ironclad Tactics

  • What’s with the increase in Strategy games for Linux lately?

    • Hey, at least it’s not another first person shooter

      • Still not RPGs or proper Racing games

  • Fucks given 0 \:D/

Pay $13.49 for a game that was originally free

  • “We want monies!”

  • “they removed all standalone builds after”

    • Which are probably still floating about, so this amounts to a big fat nothing

Change gear, change gear

  • Murder prostitute

  • Check Mirror

A Machine For Penguins

  • Use the new joint motor features to build a game involving your scariest, coolest, or craziest contraptions.

  • Win a Nexus 7, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, or shwag

  • Yay, at least one moderately decent game for Linux will come out of that!

  • Hopefully it’ll help promote awareness of Ledwerks as well.  We need more devs to start working with it.

OpenRA September release

  • I really tried to like this game but it’s sooo dated.

  • Holy nostalgia batman!

  • I’m possibly one of the very few people who never played a single Command and Conquer game

Iesabel Throws Some Hack ‘n’ Slash On Desura

  • Sweet mother of touchscreen optimized controls

  • I payed $9.99 for a fk mothering app.

  • I like how it looks, reminds me of the original Dungeon Siege.

  • That said, I’m not comfortable paying €10 for an Android game.

Humble Fumble

  • At this point they’re trolling us. Seriously. bringing back the WINE game?

Luna’s Wandering Stars Kickstarter

  • “NOTE: We have a finished Linux build.”

  • See what happens when you follow instruction kiddies?

  • Reminds me of that annoying orange thing, but with celestial bodies.

  • Angry Birds Space with a dash of Solar 2?

FGLRX 13.9 Now available

  • Ladies and gentlemen, the 3rd cock up in a row.

  • This time around: No support for the 3.10, 3.11 and 3.12 kernels. *slow clap*

  • This dude made a patch:

  • Got it working:

  • “You should continue using AMD Catalyst 13.8 Beta for Linux. We mistakenly posted a Linux AMD Catalyst 13.9 driver, which was older than the AMD Catalyst 13.8 Beta driver. Linux users can expect a new Linux driver coming in Oct, 2013”

    • How long have you been in business exactly?

    • They’ve reverted it back to 13.4 on the download page.

Makes with the working

Shiny / Sounds

  • For what it is, shiny.

  • The background music could use some work.

  • Its actually fairly decent looking

  • Have to ding it a chair because those sky boxes are horrible and they contrast with how nice the rest of the game looks.

  • Works with the Xclone 360 gamepad but the default layout is a bit wonky.

  • Sharper controls /w keb+gerbil but holding Lft button while moving gets painful after a while.

  • Wonky is a bit of an understatement

  • Works much better with a keyboard and mouse.

  • The aiming requires a mouse but movement requires an analog stick

  • Dual Shock 2 works Outhabox

  • Playing with keyboard with mouse isn’t as much a hindrance as other games, bonus points for that.

  • If you like competing for the high score or local co-op with with friends I could almost recommend it. Hell, if it supported online multiplayer I would.

  • I enjoyed the first few levels but it became hella repetitive with a quickness.

  • Single players does not make with the fun.

  • The missions are pretty short, so this is an easy pick up and play

  • I didn’t really enjoy it all that much

  • Too frustrating for me to give it the perfect score.

  • Shotgun android (Coral) is great for most levels but sucks in bosses.

Verdict –

  • Are you looking for a decent Bullet Hell game with non-retro, pixel graphics? This is your game! No questions asked, no quarter given.

  • Well shit.  IIt still deserves the crappy score I gave it

No 32-bit for you!

  • Good luck with being the other game that only supports 64-bit.

  • Email motherfuc*er! Do you use it?

  • Bwahahahahahahahahahaha

      • *wheeze*

And in the darkness, bind them

  • The golden chair, we should throw it at the year’s end episode.
