Steam Dev Days

No more bobbie tassels?

  • The Areolas are staying. It’s the touchscreen in the middle that’s going away.

  • Standard A/B/X/Y configuration.

  • I liked the touchscreen idea. >.>

  • I recall that some of the early preview models only had buttons in lieu of a touchscreen

Valve looking to drop Greenlight?

  • That would explain the list of shite getting greenlight

  • It’s not a bad system but I never liked the uneven playing field.

Valve’s VR thing is making devs cream their pants left and right

Broken Age Pre-order

  • This is only act 1. Act 2 will be a free download.

Reus FINALLY makes /w the download

  • I couldn’t figure out how to play it *yells at cloud*

  • Sort of a Black and White-ish god game.   And a vengeful god I am

Estranged: Act I

  • Finally! Now even ARCH users can install it.

  • Framerate is still shaky on my end.

NVIDIA Driver 331.38

Game: Broken Age

Devel: Double Fine

Engine: Moai

Price: $24.99 / €22.99 / A FUCKLOAD of dogecoin (10% off during Pre-Order)

Wazzat: Broken Age is a timeless coming-of-age story of barfing trees and talking spoons. Vella Tartine and Shay Volta are two teenagers in strangely similar situations, but radically different worlds. The player can freely switch between their stories, helping them take control of their own lives, and dealing with the unexpected adventures that follow.

Makes with the working

Shiny / Sounds

  • Foxxy brown as mom, Riker as Dad?

  • And Princess Clara as yoru rivals.   When’s Spanky going to come and urinate on everything

  • Actual actors doing the voices for once!

  • Handpainted graphics transmit the “coming of age” vibe perfectly.

  • Sounds stop just short of becoming annoying. Experience at work, ladies and gentlemen.

  • Click everything, all the time: the game!

  • Will duck it a chair because, like most adventure games, it’s only challenging until you get in the mindset with which the game was created.

  • Ya know how people tell you to avoid revisiting childhood nostalgia? Things like A-Team, Air Wolf, He Man, Debbie Does Dallas and the like? They say they because reason.

  • The writing can be pretty sharp at times

  • Story is interesting enough

  • This episodic fad TellTale Games started, is getting old. Early Access is bad, but purposefully splitting what would be a 10-20 hour long game is just damn annoying.

  • 3.5mill better have payed for the development of the rest of the episodes.
