Steam News :

Steam Charts

  • ⅘ of the top steam titles have linux clients.   WHAR CSGO!

    • ^ This, right here!

March 4th List of Greenlit Titles

  • 25 Linux titles

  • Decadence and Zed: Absolution look interesting

  • Anime Strip bejewelled,  Hunie Pop

  • 4 supposed “horror” games. All I see is Unity in their screenshots.

GlaDOS runs in permissive mode

  • Portal 2’s MP3 decoder needs to make heap memory executable, which could allow an attacker to run arbitrary code embedded in mp3s

  • Most valve games can deal with it being denied by SeLinux, but Portal 2 Can’t.   I didn’t really have any issues with it.

Journey of a Roach

  • Post-apocalyptic, point-and-click, rad-roach simulator. You play as a pair of roaches in the quest to reach and explore the surface of the world after nuclear war has ravaged he planet.

  • I blame Broken Age!

The Stick of Truth (pointed out by RedDorf)

  • Roommate and I have been playing this on his PS3 .   Good stuff

  • I recommend wine-ing this game.   Its worth your time to play this

  • By the look of it, I’d say Obsidian finally made a game that despite the bugs doesn’t suck complete ass.

  • Support for the 750 series

    • Now I really hope I get one from PCPer

  • TITAN Black

  • Updated the nvidia-settings control panel to allow the selection of display devices using RandR and target ID names when making queries targeted towards specific display devices. FINALLY! Fk all idea what the means but woooo!

Yeah, I think shes fallen

  • flight sandbox + real world physics

  • Build shite and crash into it ..the game.

  • It’s a nice tech demo, I’d like to see a good game made from the mechanics.

    • Of course, we live in the age of early access and they’re probably never going to finish it.

Unvanquished Alpha 25 Universal

  • This one runs…for once

  • better textures, new models

  • Min Requirements are now opengl 2.1

  • Turret firing has been played with – damage done is affected by distance, and it’s bursty. We’ve experimented with dretch health and found that 35 seems to work well given the turret changes and various other factors.

  • Jetpacks are now useable even without enough stamina to jump. We’ve fixed a problem with the game thinking that you’ve landed due to having touched ground by checking for upward acceleration. Ignition cost is reduced.

  • Builders can build again without waiting for building completion, but some waiting is still needed (it’s currently set at 60% completion).

War Torn Lands

  • Need to set execute permissions

  • Geez…You don’t even get to see your guns

  • All I see is Unity grass

Procedural Death Jam

  • I foresee a whole bunch of retro-hippy pixel graphics.

  • I like the nomenclature

– Nooope
– Not sure if want
– Check it out

Price: $6.99 / €5.99

Wazzat: You are a museum owner pursuing an undead pirate who kidnapped your daughter. You feel sorry for the pirate, but you have to stop him before it is too late for your daughter.

Makes with the working

Shiny / Sounds

  • The in game kind of reminds me of phantasmagoria, but the animation?   Geez

  • Dat voice acting

  • Frame-by-frame was done back in the day when computers couldn’t handle fully 3D rendered worlds.

  • Nowadays even my calculator can render Metro: Last Light on medium graphics, there’s no need to do it anymore

  • Sounds are alright. The voice acting is kinda meh, but the subtle ambient noises do make up for it some.

  • You point, you click.   Pretty hard to screw that up

  • When I clicked on clickable things, things looked like they had been clicked on!

  • Its just like phantasmagoria!   But worse

  • In this day and age, I find that frame-by-frame is more of a hipster gimmick than an art choice. It doesn’t really help the game at all in my opinion.

Final –

Hate Mail:

We want a free mention!

  • Rules are hard.

Puppy Arcade 11

  • Took it for a spin and the Rom Loader thing he’s making a big deal of, yeah… it just freezes as soon as it starts.

  • Emulators work fine, getting the ROMs manually and setting everything up yourself works too.

    • Sorta defeats the purpose of the whole distro though, doesn’t it?
