Steam News :

Source 2 to have level streaming (aka no more load screens)

  • I remember Neverwinter Nights also had streaming levels, but the loading screens were still very much there!

Alienware’s ‘Alpha’.. yeah, I quit reading there as well

  • “Alienware says you’ll be able to upgrade to Steam OS and the Steam Controller whenever Valve’s got those ready.”

    • *grabs popcorn*

  • “For now, though, the Alpha feels undercooked — a rushed product which serves Alienware’s bottom line and little else.”

    • Well… DUH!

    • Valve time sucks, but when they release things they tend to be good!

    • Haste makes waste and all that business.

  • I really stopped giving a shit about this when they announced that they’d be using a custom GPU soldered on to the mobo itself

  • Though it sounds like they got the name right.

Depression Quest doesn’t let you depress buttons on linux

  • Lists full controller support, but if you scroll down to the requirements

  • Didn’t know Robin Williams used Linux

    • Well, you don’t know Jack

    • Does this game have you Hook’d yet?

    • Don’t leave me hangin’

    • Sorry, still a bit shook up

  • A text adventure without animu cleavage? What has this world come to?

Shots fired!

  • burn.jpg

  • A sorcery FPS with randomly generated levels.

    • Good on them for getting rumble working on the 360 gamepad, but who in the hell would play an FPS using a controller on PC?

  • Interesting levelling concept.   Supposedly it changes how you play the game in order to ensure that you need to be skillful to succeed.

    • Will it live up to that?   We’ll see when they actually release the damn thing

A week too late

  • They listened

  • We should be taking full credit for this!

  • Dammit Ledwerks!   Where’s our cut of the kickstarter!?

  • Me: After the steam release would you (or someone in the company) be up for an interview via Skype?

    • okay.jpg

    • grinch.jpeg

Bring out the GIMP!

  • Really expensive GIMP with a Pinta look to it.

FLESHOUT 2 updated to version 1.2

  • Busted game is still busted.

  • Controls only work for in-game movement FK menu navigation

  • I had forgotten this game existed >.>

  • I like how there’s an update from June 18 which is called the same as this one

  • Updates include

    • Achievements bug fixed.

    • Graphics optimization.

    • AI mechanics improvement.

  • I think I want to cough up some blood

That’s racist

  • Demo

  • Demo nopes

  • As far as shit unity games go, this one doesn’t look half-bad from what I saw on the trailer

  • Demo is busted in a way only Unity games can get busted.

  • Mouse is so twitchy.   At least it doesn’t crash.

DayZ confirmed zomg !!11!

NVIDIA OpenGL 4.5 Driver Release for Linux

  • At this Rate, Mesa will have  GL4.5 compatibility by the time Apophis hits

    • 19-seymour-futurama.jpeg

  • A handy partial FRAPs replacement

  • Needs FPS logs

Native X?

  • The interview itself was a wee painful to read

  • Its an interesting project, but currently its usefulness is restricted to people using AMD cards whilst playing games on WINE

  • And you need the d3d double buffer patch on WINE to get it to work.

Early Caffeine Linux Demo

  • Missing game binary

    • It has a binary, in the Engine/Binaries/Linux folder it’s called UE4Game

      • That’s the engine

        • Oh…

  • Still doesn’t work on the r600 open sauce-drivers

  • Zip is corrupted for me.  yey

Early UT4 Builds

Super beta editor

  • Both players reportedly overjoyed

  • FFS! Make with the online multiplayer

– Nooope

– Not sure if want

– Check it out

Makes with the working

  • Audio gets periodically fucked.

  • Seriously, it scared the cat

Shiny / Sounds

  • Da wub… DA WUB!!!!

  • If a game’s visuals make me physically ill, you either made a horror game or you’re doing it really fucking wrong.

  • Music was muted 5 minutes in

    • Long enough for Nory to ask me why I hadn’t muted it yet.

  • Steering isn’t complete ass

  • Shame half the buttons on the controller do nothing

  • This game made me cough up blood.   I think I have cancer

Final –

Hate Mail:
