Steam News :

Steam Autumn Sale 2013

  • New sales every day (50%-75% off)

  • New flash sales every 8 hours (75%-90% off)

  • Wallet Murdering 101

Commercial Steam Machine looks like a small refrigerator

  • “And, while the company wouldn’t tell us about the boxes’ internals, it did confirm that the hardware will run all Steam titles in 1080p resolution at 60fps.”

    • That is so fucking misleading!

  • AMD APU + R9 270 GPU… because Mantle! >.>

  • I’d like to see AMD finally cave and release a  PROPER Linux driver for once. I’m not holding my breath though.

  • $499? Oh, good luck /w that.

  • Like the Xi3 this is not a real Steam boxen.

  • IBuyPower, a name you can trust in computing

Almost 7 months since the first Linux Beta, Still Not Working

  • €28 for a game that barely works and only if it’s in the right mood, is way too much

  • I completely agree with the above but at least they are actively trying to unfuck it.

Distance Alpha 2316

  • The 2315 Released finally brought controller support to Linux.

  • The layout can only be described as cruel and unusual punishment.

Nuclear Dawn makes with the working (thank pizza hipster for pointing this out)

  • It’s not exactly optimized and hangs on close.

  • Playable

  • €3.05 during the Fall sale.

  • Still crashes for me.

  • MOAR Gallium3D performance improvements

  • Basically, they’re sharing code from the r600 driver to the Southern Isles architecture to help get better performance for the Radeon 7k series.

  • Now it just needs OpenGL 3+ and better 3D performance.

Scraps Kickstarter

  • Think KSP /w cars and guns

  • Multiplayer? Damn negro, that’s all you had to say

Minetest 0.4.8 released

  • I suppose its worth a look if you demand your minecraft experience to be FLOSS

    • Or if you’re too cheap to pay for a minecraft account

PokerTH has a Linux version

  • This just peaked my curiosity, since I didn’t know of any THold’em that worked natively under Linux.

  • It’s empty most of the time though

Grapple Knight Castlevania 2013

– Nooope
– Not sure if want
– Check it out
– Shutupandtakemymonies

Game: Rogue Legacy

Devel: Cellar Door Games

Engine: Custom (built from C# on XNA)

Price: $14.99/€13.99/₹936.49 rupees

Makes with the working

Shiny / Sounds

  • Its supposed to be a tribute to nintendo hard games of the past.   In that regard it accomplished what it set out to do.

  • Considering how many times you die, the music gets a bit too repetitive too soon.

  • Working OOTB on the XClone controller.

  • Reminds me of Ghosts ‘n Goblins (魔界村, Makaimura, “Demon World Village”) and this is a good thing.

  • Really needs a neural interface.    FUCK!

  • Shit’s tight yo!

  • At first I pegged this critter as another hipster indie pixel THEN a fk mothering painting attacked me.

  • Sold.

  • Fuck this game, fuck it in its stupid monkey asshole

  • That being said, its pretty addictive once you get into it

  • The castlevania style “Fuck you Enemy Placement” is present and in spades

  • Old school platformer meets Rogue without having to resort to some stupid gimmick. Mega thumbs up from me.

Final –

This is a definite buy! With Steam’s Autumn sale currently going on and the Winter Sale after this, you have 0 excuse to not get your hands on a key.

Hate Mail:

capture software?

  • Again, it’s capture HARDWARE with some special sauce.

  • That’s good news for me, whenever the beta rolls around.
